A pool deck calculator starts with the pool footprint and adds an average deck width around it. The result is the annular area between the pool and the outside deck edge; it can then feed a concrete or paver material plan.
Plan drainage and movement first
The deck must drain away from the pool and buildings without sending dirty runoff into the water. Keep the deck structurally independent from the pool shell where the approved details require an isolation or expansion joint, and coordinate anchors, covers, rails, and barrier posts before placing concrete or pavers.
